Cristina Cantemir is an 35 years sustainable artist and UI/UX designer working with waste materials for over 10 years. After graduating master's degree from the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca, Romania, in 2015 she founded a cultural organization (NGO) called Art Mirror. Over time, this was expanded to creating a community of artists who are willing to adhere to an sustainable and eco-friendly philosophy through any kind of cultural expression.
Cristina's works is focusing on sustainability strategy and circular economy implemented in creative sectors like design and arts.

Using different recycling techniques, she repurpose several types of waste (paper, leather, textiles, ceramics, plastic, CD's, metal, etc.) into interactive installations while raising awareness about environmental issues in the heart of Transylvania.
Her artistic concepts are principles of complex systems theory, whereas trying to understand life, relationships and interconnectedness; to understand nature.
