[Text available only in English] Ruins of Infinity is a live audiovisual performance that merges the cosmic and the geometric into a single, immersive experience. Designed specifically for dome projection, the piece explores the interplay between creation and destruction, symmetry and chaos, and the infinite and the ephemeral. Through a combination of live music and real-time visual manipulation, the performance invites the audience to contemplate humanity’s fragile relationship with the universe and the cyclical nature of existence.
Bringing this vision to life, Jim Kakes, Sotirios Ntzoufras, and Anastasia Kyriakopoulou join forces to create an immersive experience. Jim Kakes, a musician and composer, performs the score live, blending electronic and orchestral elements to create a dynamic soundscape that ranges from epic/cinematic to ambient/meditative. Simultaneously, Sotirios Ntzoufras, an architect, visual artist, manipulates and triggers the visuals in real-time, mixing and transitioning between scenes to create a fluid, immersive narrative. Supporting this process, Anastasia Kyriakopoulou, an architect, who collaborated with Ntzoufras in the video composition, assists in video transitions and the creation of visual effects before they are integrated into the mix.
