[Text available only in English] Oof is a «DJ-director », he’s been directing about 40 music videos of found footage movies (mashup) where he synchs music, image & sounds. French pioneer of the DVJ shows, he has been giving about 400 audiovisual concerts abroad in the best museums, film & music festivals ever since 2003. Thanks to the «Cinemix» album, he produced on Universal Jazz, remixes of the most famous french soundtracks (from C.Craig to S.Gainsbourg or E.Morricone). His lattest creations are : 4 mashups with the aeronautic archives, some for Walt Disney, 11 with the films of the cult animator Norman McLaren and with J.Tati’s movie : Les Vacances de monsieur Hulot (Technicolor foundation).
Oof writes electro-dreamy-pop music as Lunivers (with Lena Kaufman) or under the Zzouf name (with Zero dB), a mixture of electronic and psychédelic rock released under the labels Truthoughts and Fluid Ounce. Founder of pingpong.fr, a cultural marketing agency that has been taking care of Ninja Tune since 1998 in France, & has been producing since 1997 160 events in Paris, festivals & conceptual nights of total art : 40th Bday of May 68 or Eros 69 and the Nuits Ouf on the 104th venue.
As a psychedelic art collector, he has curated about ten exhibitions & has a men fashion blog (see section on the home page). Finally, he has launched the «Dance Conscious» audiovisual show, his most accomplished creation, originally made for a european research program from the London Metropolitan university, HEC Liege & Paris La Sorbonne. It consist of several protest mashups that have been directed by Oof for a better future & well-being, denouncing individualism, working conditions, corruption, multinational companies, non-ethical finance, food industry, oil, nuclear power...
It’s showing with humour the many solutions available to our governments, on the whole a resource based economy with respect for the nature & human being. These committed mashups have been using up to 20 movies to express a story and a mood. Dance, think and stand for something!
