[Text available only in English] Respira la Pietra is a site-specific videomapping work developed as the outcome of the Visual Sound artistic residency at Castello Savelli in Palombara Sabina.
The piece emerges from the intersection of technological research and collective experimentation, transforming the historic architecture of the castle into a living, breathing organism capable of evoking layered memories and new visual narratives. The irregular stone surfaces become dynamic matter, traversed by light, rhythm, and transformation.
Through the use of videomapping software and the creation of original content, the residency participants developed an audiovisual language that engages with the space, amplifying its forms, volumes, and architectural details. The intervention goes beyond simple projection, constructing a fully immersive experience in which sound and visuals redefine the perception of the site.
Respira la Pietra thus returns the laboratory process in performative form: a collective work that connects art, technology, and cultural heritage, temporarily transforming the castle into an ever-evolving audiovisual stage.
