[Text nur in englischer Sprache verfügbar] What does it mean to design an immersive experience? Not only technically, but conceptually, perceptually, spatially — how do you build an environment that the audience doesn't watch, but inhabits?
"Ambienti Immersivi" is a six-hour workshop in which FLxER opens its archive of research and artistic practice: examples, references, techniques and approaches gathered across nearly thirty years of work in the international live audiovisual scene. Not a software course, not a tutorial: a map of the territory, drawn by someone who has been crossing it since before the territory had a name.
The session explores the different families of tools and languages that define immersive creation today — from architectural projection to real-time generative systems, from video mapping to multi-channel installations — through concrete examples, reference works, and an open discussion of the creative processes behind them. The aim is not to provide definitive answers, but to sharpen the eye: learning to read an immersive space, to recognise its choices, to understand what works and why.
The workshop takes place in MAM's immersive room — 300 sqm, 27 projectors — a space that is not merely a backdrop but an integral part of the conversation: every example shown here acquires a dimension that no other context could provide.
